Ski Hotels France How Long To Visit Paris + Spain And Other Cities At New Year's? Not The Ideal Time But That's When We Have.

How long to visit Paris + Spain and other cities at New Year's? Not the ideal time but that's when we have. - ski hotels france

Traveling Mom + Dad + 2 children to the university - have 2 weeks in Europe - 28 December to 10 January. We do not want to ski or snowboard, or participate in winter sports. We're Americans. None of us has ever been in France or Spain (I had lived a little in Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Ireland and the Netherlands) and abroad for 15 years. A few of us speak Spanish, but not acceptable in French. We want to train and boat travel (and) public transport, as we have museums, historic buildings, beautiful scenery and hiking, we do not like hotels eccentric new premises of the punch. We think of Paris, at first, then maybe Avignon new year, then in Barcelona and Madrid, but not sure. How long will you stay in the cities and where do they go?

It has about 12 days, 4 cities, which is 3 days in the city, you take away the time to move from one to another, and now 2 1 / 2.
That is not enough for Paris and Barcelona and Madrid. The only place where you Avignon cut (small), but as you have for New Year's, several museums and such will be closed. (Not sure, but I would be surprised if everything is open.)
But you have when you have to do with him.
(Do not add more cities to have such a buzy time now.)
If no curve to see France and Spain to go only one to spend more time in the big city (or 4 or 5 days, and spend the rest of the small towns where you want to change it, can tour.

Buy a good travel guide (Lonely Planet: Western Europe, or France and Spain) and book hotels in the book.
It is the holiday in Europe Reserve, in time.
2 * and 3 * hotels are more likely to have, 4 * have good rules, but they tend to be standardized, more.

In Paris, Barcelona and Madrid for a T-busBear (perhaps a hop-on hop-off bus stop in all locations of the most famous), and not all at once.
If you want to go to the main museums (Louvre, Prada) to be there at the opening of the second day in town will be cool and people will be less and the lines outside the court.
Make a list of museums (among others) who want to see and verify the time to go. Many attractions of the city of Paris has long hours (often late at night), all opening times, before they review their plans for the day.
Take a half (last) day to walk, learn to see the great boulevards and alleys.

About the language, if you smile when you come, say hello (hello) and if you know a few words of French are trying to, but if you speak slowly and clearly most people in Paris are ready to help.
I do not speak French, but I have often traveled to France, never a rude person. Embarrest people learned to know, I could not speak a language they can understand, but I always felt that we try to helpLOT SA.
If you are not, they have to write is often useful.
